Hake Steaks in a Rich Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
- 4 Hake Steaks
- 4 tomatoes chopped
- 1 tin chopped tomatoes
- 2 tsp Tomato puree
- 1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
- Splash balsamic vinegar
- Splash red wine vinegar
- Pinch smoked paprika
- Pinch basil
- Salt and pepper
Method
- For the sauce put all of the ingredients into a saucepan and simmer for around 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has reduced intensifying the flavours.
- For the hake grill on either side for around 3 minutes
- Serve in a bowl with some steamed vegetables such as sugar snap peas, mangetout or broccoli florets.
