Fabulous Homemade Fish Fingers and Chips

This recipe is extremely simple to do and will be a hit with kids and big kids alike.  It takes a little preparation but the end result is well worth it.


  • 400g Skinned Cod (cut into fish finger shaped pieces)
  • 1 large Potato
  • 1 egg
  • Flour (for dusting)
  • 2 slice bread
  • Oil for frying


  • Beat the egg and in a food processor blend the bread slices to make breadcrumbs
  • Dust the cod in the flour, then dip into the egg and cover in the breadcrumbs
  • Once all pieces of cod are breaded leave them to one side whilst you make the chips
  • Thinly slice the potato then cut into chips of fries size pieces (We went for fries size)
